Club ATU project in final stages – It’s a Z-Match!

Following this weeks monthly committee meeting and the hard work Rob (M0LYD) has put into bringing the project together it was decided based upon the votes of committee and club members who have contributed their ideas, to go ahead with what will most likely be a Z-Match configured ATU.

The club’s ATU project is a straightforward one at this stage and there is the possibility that an automatic one may be constructed in the future to showcase members construction skills as well as providing nice ATU’s to use on club operating days.

Rob also passed along the fact that various members in the club have also kindly donated parts to the project.

The committee extends its thanks to those who have involved themselves in the project and we are all looking forward to finalising a few final parts before construction gets underway.

More news on the project will be posted as soon as the final required parts list is established.

Silent Key – Philip Penfold 2E0RAJ

It is with regret that I must inform those who knew Philip Penfold (2E0RAJ) that he recently passed away on the 12th of September 2013 after being re-admitted to hospital having fought a lengthy battle with a serious illness.

Philip was a popular, respected and active member of Rother and Hastings RAYNET where he acted as Secretary for the group.

Our thoughts of course are with Jenny and his family at this time.

If anyone who knew Phil in any way would like to contact someone regarding his funeral which is taking place on the 25th September, please get in touch with Steve Stewart (M0SSR) via email at
