Ramblings from a G4 by Antony Turnbull G4CUS January 2008

I have just spent a few minutes looking through my log for the past month and find that at least 98% of my operating has been on either PSK31 or RTTY. As I wrote last month I have just got back into data modes after many years of abstinence! This was thanks to the enthusiasm of the two Steves in BSARS. I really have been having a lot of fun on these two modes. In fact over Christmas I had a rather nasty throat/chest infection and ended up at the Conquest, being handed five days worth of Steroids and seven days worth of Anti-biotics. This meant I couldn’t do much talking (Hooray I hear them say) and this is where PSK31 and RTTY came into their own. How much easier it is to operate RTTY with the modern software now available.

DX countries worked this month includes:-
Australia, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Senegal, Burkina Faso, USA, Canada, Netherlands Antilles, US Virgin Islands, St Maarten, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Barbados, Sudan, Bahrain, Iceland, The Gambia, San Marino, Oman, Djibouti, Martinique, Algeria, St. Barthelemy, Palestine, Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Egypt.
